Book Review: Fortunately, the milk by Neil Gaiman.

Hey guys!!

I am back with a new book today which is :

Fortunately the milk by Neil Gaiman. Neil Gaiman is a very well known author and a very good storyteller. The story starts with two kids whose mom was about go out of town for a conference on lizards. The story is from the point of view of their first child who is a boy. Before she leaves, she tells their father to by a carton of milk. The next day, their father leaves to buy the milk but returns after a very, very, very long time.

When they ask their father why it took so much time to buy a carton of milk, their father tells them a very long story where he gets kidnapped by green, globby aliens who ask for control over the Earth! Then he releases the spacetime continuum inside and he falls down into... water along with the milk carton. The next characters we meet are the pirate crew led by their fearless leader, Priscilla the queen of pirates. Soon they make the man walk the plank when Professor Steg a stegosaurus who saves the man from cut throat pirates. But that is not all they soon meet a volcano god called Splod, Wumpires,Intergalactic dinosaur police and many other exciting characters. The children do not believe this story as every character their father mentioned was either there as a toy or as a drawing. Eventually they eat their favourite cereal Toasties with milk. When the lift the milk carton, they find some thin shiny under the milk carton. A Spanish gold doubloon.

This book is a whole package with different types of characters in it. The book does not focus on one particular character or one particular time but on all the characters and time in the story. This might be a very short read for some people, but trust me you will love it.

The age recommendation for this book is 7+.

Happy Reading!!

Love,

Harshith.
